In somewhat of a surprise, additional charges have been brought against Michael Vick related to dogfighting. A Virginia grand jury brought two new charges against Vick. The charges included one count of killing dogs and one count of promoting dog fights.

In August, Vick plead guilty to a federal conspiracy charge related to dogfighting in which he could receive up to 18 months in prison. The NFL has indefinitely suspended Vick without pay due to the situation.

Now, it appears that Vick will face additional state dogfighting charges brought forth by Surry County Attorney Gerald Poindexter. Poindexter has stated that he more than 10 state bills of indictment against Vick.
