Reports are starting to come out regarding the Chris Benoit investigation and it appears there is a bit of a mystery unfolding. Fox News has reported that the popular reference website, Wikipedia.org, was updated with information stating that Chris Benoit's wife had died. However, the mysterious part is that the posting was made approximately 13 hours before police discovered the bodies of Benoit, his wife, and 7 year old son. Adding to the intrigue is the fact that the IP address associated with the computer that was used to update the Wikipedia site was traced back to Stamford, Connecticut. Which just happens to be the home of World Wrestling Entertainment.
The wikipedia page displaying the reference to Nancy Benoit's death was a page dedicated to Chris Benoit's biography. The posting mentioned that Benoit was replaced in the Vengeance event by Johnny Nitro due to "the death of wife Nancy." A post made later stated that Benoit's absence from Vengeance was "attributed to the passing of Benoit's wife, Nancy." Again, this post was made several hour before the bodies of the Benoit family were uncovered. The computer from which the second post was made is, according to Wikipedia.org, located in Australia.
Another interesting twist to the story revolves around Sherri Martel. Martel was a pro wrestler who was found dead in her mother's home on June 15th. The twist here is that she has somehow been linked to former wrestler Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan is the ex-husband of Nancy Benoit. Martel's death was also a little mysterious. At this time, the cause of death has not been identified. However, police state that Martel did not die of natural causes.

IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME AT ALL. YOU COULD NEVER TELL HE WAS TROUBLED. HE ALWAYS HAD HIS MIND ON WRESTLING IN THE RING. IT IS A TERRIBLE SHAME WHAT HAPPENED. HOW COULD SOMEONE WHO WAS LOVED, INCLUDING MYSELF AROUND THE WORLD DO SOMETHING SO TERRIBLE? KILL YOUR WIFE AND SON, AND YOURSELF......WAS HE SEEING A SHRINK? WAS HE ON ANY TYPE OF ANTIDEPRESSANT? WERE HE AND HIS WIFE SEEING A MARRIAGE COUNSLER? I SUPPOSE WE WIL NEVER KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON IN HIS MIND. I AM SURE HE WAS SUFFERING FROM SOME KIND OF MENTAL BREAKDOWN, DUE TO THE FACT OF HIS WORK SCHEDULE, THE HEALTH PROBLEM OF HIS SON, HIS TROUBLED MARRIAGE, STEROID ABUSE, WHICH I WILL LEAVE OPEN UNTIL THE TOXICOLOGY REPORTS ARE MADE PUBLIC. I PRAY FOR CHRIS'S SOUL. AS A ROMAN CATHOLIC, I KNOW HE IS NOT IN HEAVEN, HIS WIFE AND SON I KNOW ARE IN HEAVEN. CHIS IS NEITHER IN HEAVEN OR HELL, BUT PURGATORY. Suicide is one of the unforgivable sins, unfortunately.
I watched Chris Benoit in the ring, And I can't beleive this has happened. I know you feel, and I also feel this way, that Chris Benoit had some serious problems in his life, but unfortunately, Suicide is an unforgivable sin, so I think Chris Benoit is in Hell, but undeservingly. I hope he is forgiven by God, same as you.
-P.S. I still feel that perhaps someone broke in, killed his wife and son, and he came home, and killed himself because of his loss.
